Updates

Custom Search Engine now faster and more simple

We're excited to announce the new Custom Search Engine layout which combines simplicity and speed. The new Custom Search Engine takes only seconds to create and allows you to place search results in an overlay, on top of any content on your page. A faster, more simple search means more chances for your users to discover great content from your site. We've also added some powerful features like autocomplete, image thumbnails and results sorting. Try out the new layout bycreating a new search engine.

Improved site performance with Google PageSpeed Service

Fast and optimized web pages can help you increase visitor engagement, retention, and conversions. Google's PageSpeed Service was created to help you automate the process of applying performance best practices to your site in order to make it faster. We received positive feedback from you about this tool after we introduced it in our September newsletter and we're happy to let you know that you can now sign up for this free service without an invitation. Start speeding up your site today!

Join our Learn with Google for Publisher events

Two and a half years ago we started the AdSense in Your City program and, since then, we've visited over 100 cities and talked to thousands of publishers. We're excited to announce that in 2013, AdSense in Your City events will be evolving into 'Learn with Google for Publishers'. Learn with Google for Publishers goes beyond just AdSense optimization tips as we'll also cover other topics related to your online business such as site design, analytics and ad serving.

Below are just a few of the events scheduled for next month. Opt-in to receive "Special offers" if you want to be eligible to receive event invites via email, and keep an eye on your local AdSense blog for more event dates.

Working better together: Protecting against invalid activity

Publishers are the lifeblood of the Internet, and we're committed to helping you grow your businesses. But we've also heard the stories: publishers finding their accounts suspended or even disabled for "invalid activity" without a clear understanding of why or how to fix it. We know this can be an intensely frustrating, even scary experience. So why does this happen? Read on in our blog post to find out and see what improvements we've made to policy education and enforcement.
